How to beat a ‘Fat Day’

For the past week I have been feeling really FAT! I think we all know how it feels to have a ‘fat’ day (if you don’t, then you are lucky).
You wake up look in the mirror only to see your “fat” alter ego has returned, It seems overnight your mirror has suddenly made you look 2 sizes larger and you can’t seem to find anything to wear!! ‘How could I have possibly grown out of all my clothes overnight’ you wonder?
You start analyzing every inch of your body, wondering where this “fat” has manifested, until you finally come to the conclusion that you hate yourself because you have FAT everywhere and you don’t want to leave the house.

Well Ladies, its good to know, that Researchers at the University College London say Feeling thin or fat is an illusion constructed in our posterior parietal cortex—an area of the brain that integrates sensory information from different parts of the body. Unlike your sense of touch, there are no specialized receptors in your body that send information to the brain about the size and shape of your body parts, says lead study author Henrik Ehrsson, MD, PhD. “Instead, the brain appears to create a map of the body by integrating signals from the relevant body parts such as skin, joints and muscles, along with visual cues,” he says.
Which means that if you spend the day sending your brain the wrong cues about your body, it’s going to give you the wrong image.

Here are some feeling-fat fixes that I tend to use to try and feel fab rather than fat.

1) Wear a pop of Red.
It doesn’t matter if it’s lippie, nail polish, or clothes, There is something about the color red, that instantly makes you feel more bold, it commands respect and gets you noticed.

2) Beat the Bloat.
There’s a good chance that the reason you feel fat is because you’re bloated. Common culprits are rich and fatty foods, artificial sweeteners, and gum. The good news, you can flatten your belly by upping your water intake and ditching bloat inducing foods, especially carbs.

3) Visit the Hair Salon.
A good Blow Dry is such a definitive way to feel better about yourself, wherever you are going, its also an inexpensive way to make yourself look fab.

4) Wear a Belt.
While a belt may be the last thing you want to wear when you’re feeling fat, it can also show you that your body has a good shape, Wearing a belt is a simple, way of physically defining yourself.

5) Grab your heels.
Feeling short and stubby? Lengthen your legs with a pair of nude-colored heels, Be sure the color is similar to your skin tone, so it can work as an extension of your legs, Aim for something that’s at least three inches for an additional slimming effect.

I hope this helps some of you… it is such a horrible feeling to feel fat!

    good tips kellie ill definitely try them but only problem is I am fat :s but im working on that by going to the gym and eating healthier foods
