Rice water is one of the long lost Asian beauty secrets!

Rice is rich in minerals and vitamins that make it fantastic for cleansing the skin and hair, Washing your face with rice water makes your skin very soft and it also helps with improving the complexion. It is a great substitute for toner and firms up your skin and helps in reducing the size of your pores, Washing your hair with rice water brings immense shine and keeps it healthy.

How to make Rice Water…

Boil ORGANIC white rice in more water than the usual quantity so that the rice does not absorb all the water, and strain the extra water out, This water is the actual rice water which is full of nutritional benefits.
Let it cool to use as a face wash or a hair wash, store in a glass bottle which can be sealed.
For an added Anti Oxidant Boost I like to infuse the rice water with Green Tea, just add a green tea teabag when boiling the rice, and remove the water as normal.
I would advise making a new batch of rice water every 3 – 5 days.

Go ahead and explore this wonderful grain, and let me know your thoughts below.

Hi Kelly, this is very true . In India this was followed from very long time. Infact rice water is never wasted..it was either consumed or used to starch cotton cothes 🙂
