Village Life & The Style Outlets

For the past 6 days, I have been in a small village called Ferreiró in Vila do Conde, Porto, visiting the relatives of my Husbands Family.
It’s a beautiful place, so green, the air is fresh and clean, I am not suffocating from dust like I am in Doha, its a place that looks like it comes from a postcard, very picturesque!

A very pretty place

I find so many of these little shrines around the villages.

I have spent the days, picking fruit off tree’s and eating it directly, fresh and so organic, wandering around the small cobbled roads and watching my boys have fun, digging random holes in the mud and finding animals.
Its pretty much everything, I would like us to do in Qatar, and lead a more natural life.

You cannot get fresher than this!

The weather over the past 3 days, took a turn for the worse, it has been raining, whilst I don’t mind a bit of rain, its kind of the yucky type, really heavy then turns to super soaking drizzle, my hair resembles a hedgehog; country life is not good on my hair.

Yesterday, I visited the The Style Outlets a mall which is home to 140 brands all of which are outlet, you have Michael Kors, Bimba e Lola, Ralph Lauren & Guess to name a few.
The actual mall is big, light, airy with alot of space, they also have a play area for the kids, so instead of dragging them around the stores which they hate, we paid for them to have a supervised play, they were the only English speaking kids there, however, they adapt easily into their surroundings, and the staff were friendly and warm, which helped.
The stores were pretty dire to be honest, I found the prices to be still expensive, especially with the ‘lesser’ known brands, the highstreet outlets like Mango and Pull & Bear were great, with shoes and bags from EU 8.00, the busiest store by far was Michael Kors, the place was packed, bag styles I found limited, their watch selection was pretty good though, it was a good few hours spent; the shopaholic I am, I only ended up buying a bag from Mango, nothing else caught my eye, which suprised me, I was expecting to find alot more.
Nevertheless it is a great place to visit, if your in Porto.
